In its one-hundred year history Sunset magazine has displayed many typographic versions of its name on it covers. Early versions of the logotype reflect the need of individual illustrators to have the type stylistically compatible with their cover art work rather than to develop the kind a standardized graphic identity we are used to seeing today.
