The Stanford Geological Survey history

Carol L. King edited this slim volume in 1988 that is the most complete history of the Geological Survey published to date. She notes, "A first draft of this article was published in Geohistory, the historical newsletter of the Stanford University School of Earth Sciences, in December 1986. Faculty and alumni have contributed to this second draft. The chronology on pages 18-20 was compiled from many sources: the Register, notes by Prof. Myra Keen, Courses and Degrees, and questionnaires submitted by faculty and alumni."
