Secretary

John R. Browne III, a prominent and highly regarded San Francisco attorney, has been drawn by his deep love and understanding of traditional jazz to serve for years as Secretary on the board of the SFTJF.

Mr. Browne brings a meticulous eye to this work, combined with his deep passion for traditional jazz, and has made many significant contributions to the Foundation.

Jack, as he is known to friends, is also a hobbyist magician who performs as Fumblefingers the Astonishing. He is a past International President of the International Brotherhood of Magicians ("IBM"), which has over 10,000 members in 88 countries. He served as the IBM's pro bono legal advisor for 18 years, and he presently serves on its Board of Trustees. Mr. Browne is a long time member of the Magic Circle (London), the Magic Castle (Hollywood), and of the Society of American Magicians.
