Medicine and Innovation: Oral Histories and Archive of Medical Technology is an expanding collection of unique oral history interviews that chronicle and record the histories of physicians, engineers, scientists, business leaders, investors, attorneys, and regulators who together catalyzed an industry, developed innumerable innovative technologies and helped hundreds of millions of patients. Stanford’s Silicon Valley Archives and the Byers Center for Biodesign launched this collaborative initiative in 2019 to record these oral histories of key pioneers and players in the medical technology industry and to collect related documentation.
